Dr.-Ing. Dominik Dörr
Co-Founder and Managing Director
Dominik graduated with distinction from KIT in mechanical engineering and started his professional career as a scientific researcher at KIT-FAST in 2014. He received his doctoral degree with distinction in October 2019 and has specialized in the development of simulation methods for thermoforming of thermoplastic UD-tapes. Between March 2016 and January 2019, he has been leading the working group for continuous fibers. Besides this, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at Western University between January 2019 and April 2022.
Dr.-Ing. Martin Hohberg
Co-Founder and Managing Director
Martin studied mechanical engineering at KIT and started as scientific researcher and doctoral student at KIT-FAST in May 2013. He received his doctoral degree in December 2018. His doctoral studies focused on the process characterization and simulation of the Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) process with local reinforcements.
Dr.-Ing. Alexander Bernath
Project Leader
Alexander studied mechanical engineering at KIT and started as a scientific researcher and doctoral student at KIT-FAST in May 2013. He received his doctoral degree in December 2019. In his doctoral studies, he focused on the simulation of thermoset curing and process-induced distortion of composite structures.
M.Sc. Stefan Haas
Project Leader
Stefan studied mechanical engineering at KIT, focusing on lightweight design and applied mechanics. He graduated with distinction in November 2022. In his master’s thesis, he focused on the flow behavior of thermoplastic UD tapes and the influence of process-induced effects on permeability.
Along the way, he attended the Composites United Trainee Program and was an auxiliary scientist for composites at the Fraunhofer ICT.
M.Sc. Maximilian Brodt
Project Engineer
Maximilian started his career in 2012 by doing an apprenticeship as a machinist. After 5 years in this field, he decided to pursue further studies in the field of mechanical engineering. He graduated in 2023 with a master’s degree in computational engineering from Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB). He was part of the formula student team during his studies at RUB. Moreover, he did an internship in the industry with a focus on HyperWorks automatization and contact modeling in LS-Dyna. Subsequently, he wrote his master’s thesis in the industry, focusing on material modeling.
